NanoProducts™ That Sell (even in 30 minutes)
Practical steps to create new products — plus a challenge to validate your idea this week
I wrote the title of this newsletter after I wrote the content. What do you think of it as a book title?
Hey there!
In our last newsletter, I introduced the concept of NanoProducts™ — small but mighty products that solve specific problems with minimal effort and resources.
Today, let’s take a step further by focusing on three audiences I can apply this for today. Don’t worry, if I don’t talk about you, I will cover that in the next newsletters.
3 people I’m writing for today: Coaches, Medical/Health Professionals, and Notion Consultants (or other software specialists).
We’ll not only refine these product ideas but also map them to the Do-Sell-Teach Framework.
Plus, you’ll get practical steps and an implementation challenge to bring some of these ideas to life.
If you’re game, read on.
1. Coaches: Create transformational NanoProducts™
As a coach, your main expertise is in guiding people toward their goals.
The biggest problem your clients would have is taking the right action.
What you can do is turn your expertise into NanoProducts™ that make it easy for your clients to take action.
Product idea to consider:
Mini-Transformation Kits: A themed collection of tools—think guided worksheets, audio coaching tracks, and quick-win exercises—that deliver a specific result in a short time.
Do-Sell-Teach Framework:
Do: Offer a 30-minute coaching session focused on a “quick win.” For example, “How to Gain Clarity on Your Next Career Step” or “De-stress in 10 Minutes.”
Sell: Package the same “quick win” methodology into a downloadable toolkit. Include a guided worksheet, a short video walkthrough, and a checklist.
Teach: Create a mini-course or group coaching session titled “Quick Wins for Life: A Coach’s Guide to Rapid Results.”
How to use AI:
Use tools like ChatGPT to brainstorm content for your kit or session. For example, generate journal prompts or scripts for audio tracks.
Here’s your challenge for the week: Design a “Quick Win Coaching Audit” as a freebie to test your audience’s response. Share it with five people, gather feedback, and refine before scaling.
2. Medical/Health Professionals: Empower patients with knowledge
If you’re a clinical researcher or doctor, you have valuable knowledge that can help people lead healthier lives.
The thing is most of us undervalue that knowledge - because you’re used to knowing what you know.
Here’s a Product Idea:
Research Simplified: A downloadable guide or short course that demystifies complex topics for healthcare professionals, such as “Conducting Effective Clinical Research” or “10 Steps to Better Patient Communication.”
Do-Sell-Teach Framework:
Do: Offer a 1-hour consultation to help peers or junior professionals structure their next research study or tackle a clinical challenge.
Sell: Create a concise PDF or audio guide, such as “Top 10 Research Mistakes and How to Avoid Them,” with actionable tips and resources.
Teach: Build a 4-week online program covering “Essential Skills for Research Excellence,” including live Q&A sessions.
How to Use AI:
Use AI tools like PubMed GPT for literature reviews or to refine medical documentation. I use Napkin AI to help me create infographics to visually explain research data.
Challenge: Outline a “Research Roadmap” guide in one day. Include three key sections: mistakes to avoid, success strategies, and tools to get started. Offer it as a free resource on LinkedIn. See if people take you up and signup.
3. Notion Consultants (and Other Software Specialists): Templates That Transform
Notion is just one tool—your expertise likely extends to others like Trello, Airtable, or ClickUp.
What you want to do is create a versatile NanoProducts™ from your knowledge.
Oftentimes, when someone is teaching a software, they limit the implementation to just the software.
A better approach would be to extrapolate applicable ideas from one software to other available software.
For example, I learned to use Photoshop in 2002. I didn’t start from scratch to use Canva. I simply transferred that know-how.
That’s what I’m saying.
So here’s your product idea:
Pre-Built Solutions: Customizable dashboards or templates tailored to specific use cases, like project management, goal tracking, or team collaboration.
Do-Sell-Teach Framework:
Do: Offer a done-for-you setup service where you customize a Notion workspace (or similar tool) based on a client’s needs.
Sell: Create ready-to-use templates, such as “Weekly Planner for Remote Teams” or “Content Calendar for Creatives.”
Teach: Develop a course like “Mastering Notion Workspace: From Setup to Success,” with tutorials that show how to use your templates.
How to Use AI:
I don’t know if there’s an AI tool that works with Notion yet asides Notion AI. So do your research to find that and consider how they can work with other AI-powered apps like Zapier for your customers to integrate their workflows.
Challenge: Build a “One-Page Solution” template and sell it.
Here’s Your Next Step
You already have your audience.
Pick any product idea that resonates most with you.
Use the Do-Sell-Teach framework to design and test a NanoProduct™ this week.
Share your results with me—I’d love to see what you create!
Remember, progress beats perfection every time.
Until next week…
Live courageously,
Dayo Samuel 💯
PS: In a future newsletter, I will share the AI tools that I personally use. I expect that to be exciting. Maybe with some videos too. Or would you want me to make YouTube videos?
PPS: How are you finding this new series?
You were in my thoughts yesterday as I hadn’t read from you in a while. Or maybe I haven’t had time for my inbox. Either ways, it’s good to read from you.
I can't wait for that series, because I know you use a lot of awesome AI tools. Ive started marketing my offer and positioning myself as an authority in that area. I think I just need to press GO now!
